Water and Sewer Upgrades Throughout the City
The City of Hood River recently completed two major water and sewer infrastructure projects, with more work scheduled in the next couple of months.
Completed:

On Taylor Avenue and A Street between 18th and 13th Streets (photo above), the City and contractors successfully replaced the main waterline, reconnected households, and trench-patched the road. This project is part of ongoing efforts to replace lead joints. Although lead joints have posed no danger and no lead has been detected in the water, replacing lead joints throughout the City ensures safe drinking water for future generations.
The City replaced aging sewer lines on 9th Street by Montello Avenue, and the alley between 13th Street and 14th Street from Belmont to C Street. The alley has also been fully repaved. This work is nearing completion; however, crews may still be completing final tasks in the area.
Upcoming:
Hull Street from 9th to 12th will be receiving new water, sewer, and storm infrastructure. The City is currently awarding the contract and will announce a timeline once a construction schedule is available.
Thank you for your patience as we work to ensure public health by updating critical water, sewer, and storm infrastructure!
