Parking in downtown Hood River during peak times is limited and can be challenging. In order to manage parking and allow for regular turnover of spaces, the City utilizes a combination of metered parking spaces and parking permits for the downtown core.
Various types of Parking Permits include Meter Permits, Work Permits, Short-term Permits, and others which may be applicable for users. It’s important for the public to understand that the City employs a full-time Community Service Officer to patrol the downtown area for parking compliance.
If you receive a parking ticket, there are multiple ways to pay the fine.
A comprehensive downtown Hood River parking study is underway to identify current parking supply, evaluate requirements for additional parking and to establish alternatives to meet current and future need. The study will provide a parking strategy plan to help guide the City with potential future solutions.
In the meantime, please observe all parking signage, rules and regulations.
Thank you for your cooperation.
