PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
The Public Works Director is a self-directed and highly accountable position providing oversight, direction and leadership to the Public Works Department. The Public Works Director is responsible for a full range of Public Works services through a talented staff and has the ability to work through independent action and decision making within the framework of Council goals and general direction of the City Manager. The Director develops and administers the department budget and directs the forecast of additional funds as needed. It is anticipated that, if qualified the Public Works Director would serve as the City Engineer. SEASONAL BUILDING INSPECTOR
The City of Hood River is currently looking for a Seasonal Building Inspector or a combination Seasonal Building Inspector and Plans Examiner to support up to 20 hours of work per week. The City of Hood River currently performs mechanical and structural plan review and inspections. Work can be performed over the course of 2-5 days per week during hours of operation. Position to start once filled and end fall 2019. Individual administers and enforces state building codes (structural and mechanical) within the City of Hood River and acts as a technical expert.
This is a limited duration position with expectation of the position to start once filled and end approximately October 2019. Flexible schedule, may work up to 20 hours weekly. Pay range $29.40-36.16, open until filled.

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting followed by a site visit will be held at the Public Works Office at 2:00
