There are four primary business districts within the City of Hood River: Downtown, The Heights, West Cascade and the Waterfront.
Downtown Hood River
Downtown Hood River is the original historic business district, revitalized to maintain its historic character. With dozens of blocks of retail shops, boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants, wineries, galleries and more, downtown is an active area for residents and visitors.
Hood River Downtown Business Association is a network of downtown Hood River business members that collaborate on marketing and events to support the business district while serving the local community and visitors.

The Heights
The Heights business district is a thriving, established commercial area considered more laid-back and often an escape for locals during peak tourist season. A variety of retail and services, including grocery, hardware, pharmacy, and more, make it convenient for everyday needs.
West Cascade
The West Cascade business district features shopping centers, more retail shops, chain stores, services and fast food options, located on the west end of town near exit 64 on Interstate-84.
Waterfront
The Waterfront business district, the area’s newest commercial area along the Columbia River consists mainly of light industrial properties, recreational sites and a few eateries and pubs that serve the area.
Each business district in Hood River has something unique to offer.
