Mercury Minimization Efforts
The Public Works Department has been working with Jacobs on the City’s Mercury Minimization Program. The City’s current Mercury Minimization Plan, completed by Jacobs, covers the period from 2024 to 2028 and outlines several mercury management and monitoring activities along with reduction measures. To help educate the public about the hazards and sources of mercury, Tri-County Hazardous Waste created an informational insert for the City. This insert has been posted on the City’s website and will also be included in the August water bills sent to all customers.
