Weigh in on Council Priorities for 2025-2026 in Short Survey

In December, the Hood River City Council will hold a strategic planning session to develop its 2025-2026 Work Plan. The planning session provides an opportunity to revisit high-level goals and identify key projects for the City.
Prior to their meeting in December, the City is seeking input to gain a better understanding of community needs. A brief survey is available to answer the question: What should the Hood River City Council consider as a priority in their 2025-2026 Work Plan?
Currently, Council goals for 2023-2024 are:
- Equitable and diverse housing inventory
- An equitable and inclusive community/informed community
- Efficient and safe transportation system for walkers, bikers, transit riders, and drivers
- Well-maintained and safe community
- Environmentally sustainable and resilient community
- Adequate parks and open space
Projects over the last two years to meet these goals have included the affordable housing development at 780 Rand Road; an audit and update of the Development Code; establishment of the Westside Urban Renewal District to fund housing, parks, and road projects community outreach and more.
Community feedback is a vital component as the Council identifies the most important work priorities for upcoming years. More information on the Council Work Plan and a link to the survey can be found at cityofhoodriver.gov/administration/city-council/hood-river-city-council-goals/
The survey will close at midnight on November 17, 2024.
