City of Hood River Annual Work Plan
Projects undertaken by the City of Hood River to meet the community’s long-term needs.
The purpose of an annual work plan is to identify the highest priority policy and operational projects for the organization for a single year. The work plan aligns the organization to Council’s collective priorities and communicates those priorities clearly to the organization and the public.
Most of the organization’s time is focused on day-to-day service delivery.
- Community identity & standards (land use, permitting, current and long-term planning)
- Community safety (24/7 emergency response from police, fire & EMS, building codes administration)
- Community infrastructure & appearance (basic and fundamental services such as water, sewer, roads, and maintenance of physical assets).
City Council will participate in a 2021 strategic planning session this February. In preparation for the annual work session, the City of Hood River is interested in community input and ideas on goals, projects and strategies to help achieve them. Each year, the City Council’s annual work plan session provides an opportunity to revisit high-level goals and identify key projects to be undertaken by the organization. In preparation for the 2021 goal-setting work session, please provide your input and ideas by Sunday, December 6th via this online form or by filling out and returning this PDF form to City Hall.
