From April through November of 2019, the City of Hood River led a study to assess options for parking and transportation improvements in the City’s Downtown District with specialized assistance from Rick Williams Consulting (RWC) and Fehr & Peers. The year-long study concluded recently, with a comprehensive strategy to enhance the functionality and operation of the downtown parking system, outlined in the Downtown Parking Study and Plan, finalized in January, 2020. The study process included several opportunities for community input, including Open Houses, an online survey, focus groups, and intercept surveys at Downtown events. Documents developed during the course of the Study are shared on this page, as well as on the Parking Study’s Facebook Page.
