Development Fee Estimator
The City of Hood River has created a tool for builders and developers to estimate their development fees. The worksheet provides an estimate of development fees based on development characteristics. These estimates are unofficial and non-binding. Actual development fees will be calculated by City staff.
The fee estimator is updated regularly to adjust calculations to reflect current fees. The City recommends downloading the most recent file for each project.
Proportionate Share District Map
The fee estimator will ask what Transportation Analysis Zone (TAZ) your property is located in. TAZs estimate vehicle trip distributions to calculate a development’s proportionate share charges toward improvement of specific failing intersections. Use the map tool below find your TAZ number.
Middle Housing Construction Incentive
New housing built in the City of Hood River’s Westside Urban Renewal District may be eligible for an incentive payment. The Middle Housing Construction Incentive provides a rebate of development fees that exceed 7% of the calculated construction cost for new “Middle Housing”. Full program details and the application materials are available on the Westside Urban Renewal District’s webpage at: cityofhoodriver.gov/urban-renewal/westside/. Example developments with incentives estimates are at: cityofhoodriver.gov/urban-renewal/middle-housing-standards-incentives/. A map of the Westside District boundaries is below.
