The City of Hood River and the Hood River Soil & Water Conservation District are co-hosting a puncturevine pull. Volunteer alongside your Hood River City Councilors and staff down at the Hood River Waterfront Park and help remove this noxious weed!
Puncturevine, also known as goat’s head, is a summer annual that forms a dense mat with very, sharp, spiny seed heads and an extensive root system. The seeds spread easily when they become embedded in footwear and vehicle tires. They are extremely sharp and cause damage by easily puncturing bike tires, inflatable rafts, or dog paws.
When: Third Thursday of each month July – September, 8:30 am – 11 am.
Where: Hood River Waterfront Park
