After much anticipation, Mann Park is ready to welcome the community back. A brand-new playground was installed in the fall of 2024, but the early arrival of the rainy season delayed the final irrigation and landscaping work needed to complete the project. To protect the park grounds from damage, the park remained closed throughout the winter months.
Now, the City of Hood River is pleased to officially reopen Mann Park and invite residents to enjoy the updated space. The City extends its thanks to the community for their patience, and to the Lion’s Club of Hood River for their generous support in funding the new playground equipment.
Please note that a portion of the park will remain temporarily fenced off to allow the newly seeded grass to be established. Visitors are asked to respect these areas to help preserve the long-term health of the park grounds.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for Thursday, May 15. The City of Hood River and the Lion’s Club of Hood River will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community ice cream social from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Mann Park.
