The Mayor’s Equity Advisory Group is an informal group of community members who meet on a regular basis to provide advice on diverse perspectives on a variety of topics to the Mayor. The group was originally created in 2024 through Resolution 2024-18 Authorizing the Formation of a Mayor's Equity Advisory Group . The group typically meets on the second Thursday of every odd-numbered month, however meetings may be rescheduled as needed. All meetings are open to the public. The Mayor reserves the authority to appoint members to the group, and in particular, is seeking community members with diverse lived experiences, are a member of a historically underserved population, or are able to provide a perspective outside of the dominant culture.
