Utility Rates and Fees
1st Late Notice Fee
Utility accounts that are 30 days past due of the original billed date are sent a yellow paper notification and charged the 1st late notice fee of $10.00.
2nd Late Notice Fee
The account holder will be notified a second time in the same month of the past due amount and the future date of disconnection if the account is still left unpaid. Once notification is sent an additional $30.00 fee will be charged to the utility account.
Shut Off Fee
Failure to pay after the 1st and 2nd late notices will result in services being shut off and locked until the balance is paid in full. An additional $44.00 shutoff fee will be charged to the utility account.
Delinquent Water After Hours Fee
If the water meter is shutoff due to non payment, a request for those services to be reinstated by our Public Works team outside of regular business hours result in the after hours fee of $120.00 charged to the utility account.
Account setup fee
The account set up fee is a non-negotiable administrative fee that is charged whenever service is initiated and will appear on your first bill as a one-time $20.00 charge.
The City of Hood River Utility Services are billed monthly based on the meter size for water, sewer, and stormwater services.
