
The City seeks Budget Committee members to discuss and deliberate on the City budget for fiscal year 2021-2022 (which begins on July 1). We appreciate and value the community member participation in the budget process which consists of three evening meetings scheduled for April 27th, May 4th and May 11. Budget Committee applications are due April 4th. A copy of the City and URA budget documents will be available on the City of Hood River’s website by April 20th.
The Budget Committee is composed of the governing body (City Council) and an equal number of electors (7) appointed by the governing body. Appointments to the Budget Committee are for three-year terms, and the committee meets as often as necessary to complete the budgetary business.
Appointees must be qualified voters residing in the City of Hood River and may not be officers, agents or employees of the City. Interviews will be conducted at the April 12th City Council meeting. Appointees must be qualified voters residing in the City of Hood River. Appointees may not be officers, agents or employees of the City. City Budget Committee members may be used to fill Urban Renewal Agency Budget Committee vacancies as needed. Any information provided may be disclosed to the public upon request. Interested persons should submit a resume setting forth their background, and a statement why they desire an appointment.
