The task force will review initial proposed housing strategies and provide input based on personal or professional experience to help narrow and prioritize strategies.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING PRODUCTION STRATEGY
The City’s 2021 Work Plan includes the development of an Affordable Housing Production Strategy (AHPS) that identifies public policy tools and actions the City can use to encourage the production of housing for individuals earning up to 120% of Median Family Income (≈ $92,160). The plan will include steps to implement those strategies. Housing production can include developing affordable housing, preserving existing affordable housing, converting existing housing to affordable housing, or partnering with local housing organizations. The City is in the process of hiring a consultant to provide technical assistance on the project and creating an advisory community task force to inform potential impacts to consider when narrowing and prioritizing strategies to include in a final report.
Updates to this project will be located on this page. Learn more about policy initiatives the City has done and plans to do on this Housing Projects and Information page.
